Elqui Valley, CHILE

From winemaker Giorgio Flessati, the pioneer of the Elqui Valley wine region, the northernmost in Chile. Coastal desert region known for possessing the clearest skies in the world and the winning combination of warm days and very cool nights with daily temperature swings of as much as 35 degrees Celsius. Vines are own-rooted, massale selections. Soils are very rocky with excellent drainage. Ripe and bright citrus notes are complimented by a kiss of grassy jalepeno, minerality, and briney character from the Pacific ocean, a mere 25 km form the vineyard. Mouthwatering acidity on the palate with concentrated ripe fruits that carry though into the long finish. ALC. 13.5%
